MIDAS GEN NX Basic Training – Eurocode

This quest introduces the essential functions and structural analysis workflow of MIDAS GEN NX. You will learn how to navigate the graphical user interface, control model views, select and activate elements, and display structural properties and boundary conditions. Through practical Eurocode-based examples, you will model a two-dimensional continuous steel beam and an RC frame, define materials and sections, assign supports and loads, create load combinations, and review analysis results. The quest also introduces basic Eurocode 2 beam and column design and section property calculation using MIDAS CAD. By completing this quest, you will learn how to: - Navigate the MIDAS GEN NX interface and visualization tools - Define Eurocode materials and structural sections - Create beam and frame models - Assign supports, nodal loads, and element loads - Define and apply load combinations - Review reactions, deformations, and beam force diagrams - Perform basic Eurocode 2 beam and column design - Calculate section properties using MIDAS CAD
