Overview
In this quest, you will model, analyze, and design a three-span Super-T prestressed composite girder bridge in MIDAS CIVIL NX. Using the Prestressed Composite Bridge Wizard, you will define the Super-T girders, composite deck, substructure, support conditions, tendons, and reinforcement. You will also configure construction stages and time-dependent concrete properties, including creep, shrinkage, compressive strength development, and prestress effects. You will define Australian traffic lanes and vehicles, including the WA Group 2 rating vehicle, and perform moving load analysis for critical lane arrangements. Response spectrum and eigenvalue analyses will also be conducted in accordance with AS 5100.2:2017. After completing the analysis, you will review reactions, displacements, member forces, critical vehicle positions, concurrent forces, tendon losses, tendon elongation, and mode shapes. Finally, you will perform PSC design verification based on AS 5100.5:2017 and generate graphical, tabular, and Excel design results. By completing this quest, you will be able to: - Generate a Super-T prestressed composite bridge model. - Define tendons, reinforcement, and time-dependent properties. - Apply WA rating vehicles and evaluate critical vehicle positions. - Perform construction stage and response spectrum analyses. - Verify PSC design to AS 5100.5.
