Overview
This quest demonstrates the modeling, analysis, and design of a multi-storey reinforced concrete slab and wall system in MIDAS GEN NX. You will import floor geometry from a DXF file, create columns and walls, assign wall IDs, and generate a finite element slab mesh. You will apply gravity, occupancy, wind, and response spectrum loads according to Eurocode requirements. After analysis, you will configure Eurocode 2 meshed design parameters and evaluate slab reinforcement, Wood-Armer moments, punching shear, concrete and reinforcement stresses, crack control, deflection, and wall design results. By completing this quest, you will learn how to: - Import structural geometry from a DXF file - Model columns, slabs, and structural walls - Generate a quadrilateral and triangular slab mesh - Create a multi-storey building model and story data - Apply Eurocode wind and response spectrum loads - Configure Eurocode 2 meshed design combinations - Evaluate slab flexural reinforcement and Wood-Armer moments - Check punching shear, cracking, stress, and deflection - Review reinforced concrete wall design results
