Overview
This quest presents the complete modeling, analysis, and design workflow for a seven-storey mixed-use reinforced concrete building in MIDAS GEN NX. You will construct a three-dimensional dual-system model consisting of moment-resisting frames and shear walls, define structural properties and stiffness modifiers, and organize the model using storey data and wall identification. You will apply gravity, occupancy, wind, and seismic loads in accordance with Eurocode requirements. After performing eigenvalue and response spectrum analyses, you will evaluate reactions, displacements, and member forces before completing the Eurocode design of beams, columns, and shear walls. By completing this quest, you will learn how to: - Create a multi-storey RC building model in MIDAS GEN NX - Model beams, columns, floor systems, and structural walls - Assign wall IDs, storey data, supports, and stiffness modifiers - Apply mixed-use floor, wind, and seismic loads - Perform eigenvalue and response spectrum analyses - Review structural deformations, reactions, and member forces - Design RC beams, columns, and shear walls to Eurocode requirements
