QLD-TMR PSC Composite Girder Bridge Design to AS 5100

Build a QLD-TMR prestressed composite girder bridge, apply B-Double moving loads and staged construction, and complete PSC design to AS 5100.

Overview

In this quest, you will model, analyze, and design a QLD-TMR prestressed composite girder bridge in MIDAS CIVIL NX. Using the Prestressed Composite Bridge Wizard, you will define the precast girders, composite deck, piers, cross beams, elastic support conditions, tendons, and reinforcement. You will also configure construction stages and time-dependent concrete properties, including creep, shrinkage, and compressive strength development. You will apply the QLD B-Double rating vehicle, perform moving load and construction stage analyses, and generate load combinations based on AS 5100.2:2017. Analysis results will be reviewed through reactions, displacements, beam forces, moving load tracer, and concurrent force results. Finally, you will perform PSC design in accordance with AS 5100.5:2017, review capacity-demand results, and generate a detailed design report. By completing this quest, you will be able to: - Generate a complete prestressed composite bridge model. - Define precast girders, tendons, reinforcement, and substructures. - Apply B-Double moving loads and time-dependent material properties. - Evaluate critical moving load and construction stage results. - Perform PSC design and generate an Excel design report.
